Seasons greeting to our friends and family.
So much has happened to us in the past few months. We are so blessed to be influencing people around the world through technology and the Internet. We have experienced several monumental events and we are excited about what God will be doing next in our lives.
Peter received his credentials in September to be a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. It is such a wonderful experience to see how God prepares us for future ministry. This achievement moves us closer to our goal of being fully appointed missionaries.
Rachel is teaching her second year at New Covenant Academy. She really enjoys teaching third grade and enjoys the challenges associated with the new class. She is happy to have a more balanced class this year compared to last year’s 14 boys and 5 girls. It is wonderful to see how the children develop throughout the year and how Rachel is impacting their futures.
Peter continues his role as Site Administrator at Network 211, an online ministry of the Assemblies of God. Network 211 is striving to meet their goal of impacting 10 million people's lives through technology and the Internet. This goal is realized through projects and partnering with churches and ministries around the globe to more effectively communicate the Gospel online. Please visit the websites www.network211.com and www.project10million.com to learn more about the ministries of Network211.
Peter is responsible for the daily maintenance of the sites, developing new projects, new sites, and additional tools, as well as helping teach training sessions for ministers. What a blessing to see pastors, church staff, and other ministries catch the vision for online ministry! The e-ministry seminars have been very productive. Participants learn how to effectively use technology to help them better manage and promote their ministries as well as engage in new outreach opportunities online.
Network 211 continues to develop and implement an online evangelism response system. This system will allow “1-2-1 Connection” volunteers to personally interact and mentor those who respond to online evangelism. Peter has personally interacted with over 100 people from around the world, and the team has responded to over 2,000 people in the past few months. There have been several responders from closed countries that without online evangelism would not have had the opportunity to receive the Gospel. It is amazing to see the response from Islamic nations as individuals find freedom to explore and find Christ online.
Additionally, Network 211 is working with Light for the lost to create an evangelistic CD that will present the viewer with the Gospel. These CDs will contain print, audio, and video information as well as Internet resources and response devices. The CDs will also contain the entire Bible and several Global University courses. We plan to distribute these CDs throughout the world near Internet Cafés. We are praying that they will be copied and distributed by the nationals to increase the effectiveness of this presentation. Please be in prayer with us as we work with Light for the lost to develop and distribute this evangelistic tool.
We are also seeing great results from the Network 211 content syndication system, www.network211source.com, allowing churches and ministries to enhance their web sites with links, articles, games, and audio and video resources. Among our most popular items are the Global University courses that can be fully embedded into the websites, as well as several video series from International Media Ministries including “The Parables of Jesus” and “The People Who Met Jesus” videos.
To see examples of syndicated content, browse through this site, www.internetmissionary.org. The Games, Videos, and Resources are all syndicated content. Also, please check back often to find out what’s new. Be sure to show others this site and don’t forget the cool games, videos and resources provided by the Network 211 content syndication system at www.network211source.com that can be added to any website.
Streaming audio and video along with Podcasting are increasing the impact of churches and ministries around the globe. It is wonderful to see how excited many pastors are when they learn how to distribute their message to their online visitors. It is astonishing how many resources, like Podcasting, are available at little or no cost. Peter has the wonderful opportunity to help these ministries reach new levels of ministry online with these tools and resources. Please feel free to contact Peter if you know of any ministry that could benefit from the tools and resources developed by Network 211 to more effectively use the Internet.
Please continue to pray for us and for the ministry of Network 211. Also, please prayerfully consider monthly financial support. We have been active on the field in an “as donations permit” status. Currently, we have only raised about 20% of our budget. We desperately need your help. If we cannot raise more support we will be restricted from full missionary appointment. Also, please consider presenting our need to your church. We would love the opportunity to share about what God is doing. Enjoy the Holidays and may God richly bless you this coming year.
In His Service,
Peter and Rachel Dell |
